The diverse natural resources of Northeast India are still entrapped in the hands of local communities and need to be harnessed and made widely popular for the benefit of the society and to provide more scope for employment in this part. The Biotech park wants to initiate larger involvement of the people in the areas of Agro-technology like 

• Extension of micropropagation technology to the maximum possible extent to ensure the availability of quality planting material.
• Raising productivity and adding nutritional values and pest resistance to our crops.
• Promotion of organic farming to reduce the use of chemicals, to bring about crop diversification.
• Promotion of green revolution for sustainable development.
