The Northeast India is a store house of unexplored human resources. The diverse educational institutes and centers produce many talented work forces which have remained unexplored and tend to migrate to other states for better opportunities. Further, the region is home to many diverse tribes, which have there own heritage and traditions knowledge, which has till now confined to concerned tribes only. Setting up of Guwahati Biotech Park aims to target and promote the indigenous knowledge based industries and provide scope to talented workforce to convert their ideas into a business without extensive initial setting up cost.
