The Department of Fisheries recently celebrated the 4th anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) on 11th September 2024 at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New delhi.

The event was graced by Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Government of India Dr. Abhilakh Likhi; Prof S P Singh Baghel and Shri George Kurian Honorable Minister of State for Ministry of Fisheries, AH&D; Shri rajiv Ranjan Singh Alias Lalan SinghHonorable Minister of Ministry of Fisheries, AH&D ans Mr Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary (Inland fisheries), Department of Fisheries Govt of India and representatives of all the states.

The ongoing visionary project “Business Incubation Center for Fisheries and Aquaculture” of GBP is funded under PMMSY.

Dr. Bula Choudhury, Senior scientist Guwahati Biotech Park (GBP) and PI of BICFA has participated the event.
