Ensuring Quality, Authenticity and Safety of Honey
The Regional Honey Testing Laboratory (RHTL) at Guwahati Biotech Park (GBP) is a state-of-the-art analytical facility established to provide comprehensive testing services for honey and other bee products.
The laboratory serves beekeepers, honey processors, exporters, government agencies, research organizations, startups and entrepreneurs by offering reliable analytical services for quality evaluation, authenticity verification and food safety assessment.
RHTL has been established with financial assistance from the National Bee Board (NBB), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, under the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM), with the objective of strengthening scientific beekeeping and improving honey quality standards in North-East India.

To become the leading regional centre for honey quality assessment, authenticity testing, research and analytical support for the beekeeping sector in North-East India.

Sample Submission
Honey samples may be submitted directly at the laboratory or through courier along with the prescribed sample submission form.
