Assam participated as the State Partner in Global Bio-India 2024,the 4th edition held on 12 th – 14 th September 2024, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi organized by BIotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt of India.

Mr. PLN Raju, Special Secretary, Science, Technology and Climate Chnage Department (STCCD), Govt of Assam, Dr. Bula Choudhury, Senior scientist Guwahati Biotech Park (GBP) and Mr. Kamal Gauli, Scientific Assistant GBP represented GBP and STCCD in GBI 2024.

The three-day event was the largest representation of entire biotechnology stakeholders in the country to the national and international biotech community connecting with the start-ups ,incubators and other state governments. The event was graced by five hundred plus exhibitors from different parts of the countries, states, delegates, industries, start-ups, incubators, and academia who showed their investments in the Biotech Sector by showcasing their products and their work in the sector of Biotechnology.

In the event GBP highlighted its available facilities, startup Products, initiatives of Business Incubation Center for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Ministry of Fisheries, AH & D, GoI, NIDHI_PRAYAS, DST and Assam Biotech Policy initiatives in the event to attract venture capitalists, angel investors, and corporate investors in Assam.
